Summary:
Good for jobs around home. The easy2start works great and leaves you with more energy to cut logs instead of killing yoursef getting the saw started.
I use it to cut smaller trees for firewood. I had heard a lot of good things about Stihl before buying one and they all were true.
Strengths:
Light, Fast ,Easy to start. Cuts up to a 12" diameter log easily.
Weaknesses:
Needs longer bar for felling trees.

Summary:
An excellant saw for cutting wood for heat or yard cleanup but not designed to cut huge trees or professional use. I have cut a dutch elm hardwood 28 inches in diametor but thats pushing this little saw to its limit. Pretty hard on the clutch and drive train it dont take long for it to heat up working that hard its not designed for huge timber remember its only 32cc
Strengths:
Excellant power to weight ratio i cant believe the power this little saw has. it always starts good and is easy to service and adjust chain tension it really cuts well with the narrower guage bar and chain an excellent saw for home owners not wanting to deal with sub par knock offs like homelite or poulin. This is a quality stihl product but remember its not a lumber jacks saw for the average joe its a great buy we have had ours for three years and do about 20-30 hours a year with it fencing and yard work and cutting wood to heat my shop (6 chords a yr)
Weaknesses:
only weakness is the air filter plugs fairly often you can tell when its stariting to get pluged because it will stall when idling almost like leaving the choke on it does this after about two hours of operations or less sometimes but its a minor detail

Summary:
I see no reason to pay a $ premium for a Stihl brand low end saw. Get another brand and save the $ if you are looking for a small home owner's saw.
Strengths:
Worked great for 1 cutting session. (2 tanks of gas)
Weaknesses:
Stored the saw away according to the manual instructions, didn't use for 1.5 years, now no start.

Summary:
This is a great little saw for the price compared to homelite or poulan perfect for around the house jobs it is very light for the amount of power it has.
Strengths:
Very easy to start starts in 3 pulls or less the chain tightening system is a great feature, i have had this saw for a little over a year and only tightened the chain once!
Weaknesses:
Could be a little quieter.

Summary:
Moderately expensive to buy and now with carb replacement, a little more than a much bigger Makita 21"
Strengths:
Lightweight to carry around. Love the Quick Chain Adjust feature. OK for small stuff like limbing or brush clearing.
Handle grip area not big enough to get a boot thru.
Weaknesses:
Always been hard to start. Now dealer says I must replace carburetor because of ethanol rotting away internal o-rings. Saw was purchased new in 2004, same year I purchased a Makita 21" (which starts immediately, even after sitting for months)

Summary:
I use this saw for cutting stumps down to the ground before I grind them out and it works awesome for that.It is a small saw thats lightweight and easy to use.I think some guys here that don't like the saw are trying to get too much out of it.Just my opinion.
Strengths:
Nice little saw.Decent power for what it is.Easy to start.
Weaknesses:
No weaknesses for what I use it for.

Summary:
Just a fun work horse. Buy two!
Strengths:
Great compliment to my MS 460!
Should be perfect for the home owner for general saw use. If you are a pro then you understand how it would go great as a short saw for one of the big boys. It works all day long and will not wear you out.
I really love this little guy!
Weaknesses:
I should have purchased it a long time ago. The 460 will wear your butt out doing short stuff that this thing was designed for.

Summary:
You won't find a 10lb saw with this much power and reliability in any other brand.
Strengths:
I use this saw professionally. It has taken down 30ft mesquites from top to bottom. Best price for what you get. Exelent limbing and trimming saw. Mine has out lasted 2 Poulans while doing ten times the work. No adjust carb is great, runs the same at 1500 feet as it does at 8000 feet.
Weaknesses:
You won't want to put it down and come in for dinner.

Summary:
Seems to be built ok, but is pretty much worthless since I am exhausted by the time Istart it. First time took 40 pulls and 20 minutes. After that it takes 10-20 pulls, even if it is warm. And yes, I am following the choking directions and using Stihl oil in the gas.
Strengths:
Light,cuts very fast
Weaknesses:
Extremely hard to start - And is only 1 day old. Will probably return it.
Bogs down, no carb adjustments to fix this.

Summary:
wery good
Strengths:
1,5 kW i a lott of power for this ccm mashine.Light , fast until 25 cm and wery good. big thing is that this chainsaw has a extra air whole and filter in this case eksist clean longer.
Weaknesses:
carburator is semi automatic...it means the fuel automaticly goes without adjustment...we may just adjust the air ,but its not the worst thing.
in bigerr diameter tree chainsaw goes slowly than usualy. But aniway the sharp chain is the most important thing. We must exchange the membrans often and regulary and it is not cost much.

Summary:
Great little saw for the money.
Strengths:
I have owned my MS 180 for six years and still kickin like a mule. Great little homeowners saw. Works great for delimbing, yard clean up, even cutting firewood if its not huge. Mine has the 14" bar. It will cut full bar and have power to spare. I like the chain adjuster. Easy to use and haven't had a problem with it.
Weaknesses:
None that i've noticed.

Summary:
I have given 2 of these away to family members as presents and always wanted one for myself. I should have kept the first one 2 years ago and gave a gift certificate. Lol....best saw for the money you can buy.
Strengths:
Have a 260 pro, 210c, 034, 211 and now this little jewel . 180c 16" bar. This is my favorite of all. Starts cold 2nd or 3rd pull and hot first pull. I may list the 211 and 210 on Craig's list now because there not needed. This saw will work for most about 95% of the time and the other 5% is going to need a pro saw with big nads.
Weaknesses:
Perfect
