Summary:
great saw to use around the farm for quick branching. Easy to use and starts great each time for me. Lots of metal parts on the inside, that counts. Quality.
Strengths:
light, quick start, no problems at all with starting it. Easy to handle.
Weaknesses:
It's more of a trimming saw, because of the engine size. Although i have taken down a few trees with it, a couple that were over a foot in diameter. Oil resevoir could be larger.

Summary:
Excellent small homeowner saw.
Strengths:
Quick to start, 2 pulls on choke and it pops- 2 pulls on half choke and it's running. Good power for weight, but struggles in the 14 inch range...which I guess means I need to change to my other saw- I have the Jonsered 2156 and love it, but got this to trim small limbs around the property and take off small branches when trees are cut down due to the increased manouvrability. Gas 'mileage' is pretty good, not great, not bad. Also, good dealer back up for the small stuff like adjusting my carb, spark plugs, cleaning the air filter, etc. I recommended this to my neighbor who bought the new 2238 and loves it (2138 is now discontinued.)
Weaknesses:
Side cover mounted chain tension adjuster can be tricky to align with hole when you change the chain...but that's my fault really. I get the dealer to do it!!!

Great saw for bush work and around the cotage. Good for cutting logs about 1-2 feet in diameter and good for making fire wood and hunting stands.
Strengths:
Awesome saw, for the price its the best you could get.
Weaknesses:
Hardly any weaknesses, although oil resevoir could be a bit bigger.
