Summary:
I would buy a Husqvarna again. You do not have to hunt for a dealer like I did trying to find a Stihl rep. The Husq has more dealers and that makes the price more competitive. I paid $320 with 3 chains.
I have now bought the Husqvarana 326 Pole saw. Runs great, starts great.
Strengths:
Nice smooth starting, good balance with my 18" bar. This is my first saw, but I have used plenty of borrowed ones. I cut on my ranch for clean up and want a light weight power horse. The 350 is working out great for me. I have about 8 gas tank fills of cutting done and no trouble. Keep the chain sharp and it has plenty of power for hedge and oak.
Chain lock works well, just follow the directions when removing the bar plate-disengage the break first.
Adjustable oil flow, chain tension adjustment is just a turn of the screw. Easy pull start decompression button is a nice touch when the weather is cold and it takes a few extra pulls. I have never needed put it on the ground to get it started. I lock the chain, push the fuel bulb twice, choke it, push the decomp. Button and give it 3-4 pulls, (easy to pull) and it fires up. Push the choke in ¾ repush the decomp. Button and pull it again, your running. The decomp. Button automatically turns off when it fires, or runs.
Weaknesses:
Still looking for a flaw.

Summary:
I would not buy any other saw. I have friends who have been through two or three saws since I purchased my "Husky". I have been through two bars and three chains and my saw still runs and cuts like new
Strengths:
Dependable, Easy Starting, fast cutting, fairly light, name brand speeks for its-self
Weaknesses:
chain sproket wore out in less than 5 years, but I have used it quite a bit due to many storms in North Florida over the past years.

Summary:
Good lightweight saw for limited pro use. Much better than the 455 or 460 "Rancher" saws.
Strengths:
Very good saw, a small step below the pro saws. Lightweight, reliable, good power with muffler mod. Better power with port work! Such a good saw I bought a second one.
Weaknesses:
First saw had bad fuel tank (vent not working)

Summary:
Stear Clear of All Seasons outdoor equipment in Conway, AR. 350 worked good for 3 years, now oiler just dumps oil out bottom of case. I paid All Seasons 60 bones to "fix" it. When they "fixed" it, it did same thing. I took it back and they said it was normal, even though they just charged me 60 bones to "fix" it. They they turned the oiler all the way down on 18 inch bar, turned idle down so it will not even stay lit. For "authorized" dealer, I guess they have no idea that it only oils when chain spinning, so idle adjustment is wrong call. Turn the oiler all the way down? I had to fix idle and oiler still broken. Husqvarna "support" was to get back to me in 24 hours for a fix, that was months ago. I tried to be a husky guy, I really did, bought trimmer and brush cutter too. To all who may read this, Stihl 290 farmboss will do more than a 350, 445, 455, 460, husky has lost me for a long time
Strengths:
strong motor for what it is
Weaknesses:
oiler is junk

Summary:
Very disappointed with this saw, my 2nd Husky. First one gave me no problems thru 8 years of use. Moved up to the 350 for more power, longer bar. Frustration is the best word to describe my 350 experience.
Strengths:
Lightweight.
Weaknesses:
Muffler kept coming off after one year of limited use. Turned out the "jug" metal was weak, and bolts could not hold. Jug replacement cost would have been more than what I paid for the saw, but Husqvarna did stand behind it and the work was done at no charge. The following year, the clutch wore out. Not a covered repair this time... Engine does not run smoothly - slows when idling and cutting. I'll be taking it in again soon...

Summary:
This was bought to replace a small McCulloch. It has been a lemon and the trouble with buying from a big box store is lack of service. I finally sold after it quit running after only 10 minutes. Bought a Stihl 250. No comparison. Have other Stihl equip (pole trimmer and blower) and their reliability is why I went to Stihl. Also will not buy from a box store again.
Strengths:
looks good. Did well for about one year then began one thing after another.
Weaknesses:
hard starting. Oil leak that has defied 140 dollars worth of repair services. bar had to be replaced due to sprocket failure. clutch had to be replaced. one of the studs that hold the bar fell into the oil resevoir! This a chain saw that is used for maintaince on 50 acres and not for heavy commercial use.

Summary:
This saw has been a huge disappointment. The saw cost me some $300+. Parts, and the clutch removal tool - close to another $100. In hindsight, I would have been better off if I had bought a couple of cheap throw away saws.
Strengths:
Easy to start. Good power to weight balance. Easy to use.
Weaknesses:
After about two hours of use the oil pump broke. The plastic gear that drives the pump stripped. I did not notice the problem soon enough. The lack of lubrication took out a bar, a chain, the chain sprocket. The oil pump is driven by a plastic gear. I am not familiar with other manufacturers' designs, but this one is definitely on the cheap side. A replacement OEM gear is still good after about an hour-and-a-half of use.
I have always used Husqvarna bar oil.
In addition:
several screws vibrated out and were lost;
the top cover plastic cracked, I do not even know what caused it as I never abused the saw;
the oil tank has a leak.
I do not think the saw had over 5 hours on it, but the list of problems is impressive. I am thinking of buying a Stihl now before its quality goes to the dogs.

Summary:
Junk....if after 2-3 years of seasonal use, it becomes useless, I feel like they should refund my money.
Strengths:
Lightweight, easy to start, plenty of power.
Weaknesses:
After 2 seasons of cutting firewood, found it sitting in a pool of bar/chain oil. Also noticed problem with chain oiler not working properly. Took to a dealer to find oil leak problem....was told that it was leaking out through the chassis. The chain oil reservoir is the chassis itself, and it leaked out where the two halves were heat pressed together. Factory defect. Out of warranty...too expensive to replace chassis. I'll never buy another Husqvarna chainsaw. I was lead to believe they were a high quality product. NOT!

Summary:
For what's supposed to be a good brand, it has more problems than my 15 year old Craftsman. Too many dinky, cheap plastic parts that fail with only moderate use. Geez, who ever heard of the trigger mechanism just falling apart. The Husky 350 is more of a money pit and it may be one big lemon, as others have suggested.
Strengths:
Good saw when running
Weaknesses:
Difficult to start, on a good day.
First, the plastic trigger mechanism broke. That was about a year ago. Now, the plastic choke that slides in and out appears to be broken...since it isn't doing anything besides turning the saw off. I haven't had the chance to see what it's supposed to be connected to. It runs for a second or two and quits. From reading the various posts here, I suppose next year it will be the plastic gear for the oil.

Summary:
Ok for the money. Bought as a substitute while my Stihl was out for repairs (long wait for parts for an older saw)
Don't see the need for the compression release button. Its not hard to start without using it.
Prefer to use the Stihl.
Strengths:
Inexpensive. Good all around saw for light work. Easy start. Easy to adjust chain tension.
Weaknesses:
Muffler bolts keep coming loose. Power seems a bit weak for a 52 cc saw. Have a Stihl 032 AV that is a 52 cc and is way stronger. Bogs down in hardwood.
