sold the stihl and getting another one

smoother alot less fuel and alot more power than my stihl fs80 which has the same 25.4cc

the stock head sucks i put a stihl 25-2 head on it

Summary:
The 260's are hard to beat for the price and the 25 cc you get. This is my second 260 version I have owned.

Strengths:
The Echo 260's are a great commercial buy. I have used the 261t for 2 cutting seasons with no problems. I use it on a average of 200 times a year

great unit. will probably continue to buy if these ever die. enjoying a tanka also. a little less ponies, and a joke for a air filter but well balanced.

good power. decent balance. nice length. good bump head.

Weaknesses:
when getting it ready for my second season found head seized. turned it by hand hard enough to break it loose and after a day of use made a lot of bad noises. echo warranty replaced with new. my older model had the spark plug boot and wire right where you would touch your arm against it. as it got old would shock you. bought new boot and shrink wrapped the wire so wouldn't have to spring for a coil. I believe new models have relocated. after 7 years using commercially started running poor at mid throttle. tried cleaning carb. finally bought a new carb and is still going.
