Summary:
Very well made and constructed.
Belt and friction wheel easy to replace for experienced mechanic.
Keeep spare shear pins on hand, rocks or hard ice will cause pins to shear
on contact. [ That is their job, to prevent gear case damage]
Excellent value if you do not have a garden tractor with a snow thrower attachment.
Clears a 36 inch wide by 100 ft sidewalk in one pass.
Clears a 8 ft wide by 210 ft long drive in 3 passes [middle-side-side]
Strengths:
Rugged, easy to maneuver, the trigger steering makes using machine simple, squeeze in driction you want to go.
Dual headlights cut thru the night and snow.
Dual wheels pull thru fallen snow without slipping
Powerful engine throws snow 50+ feet
Drift cutters knock down problemic snow banks creating a wider.safer path to travel.
Electric start and manual start are both effertless, sarts on one pull for me.
Adjustable stainless steel shoes can be set for pavement or gravel [ or grass]
Weaknesses:
Tecumseh engine discontinued.
Some may consider heavy.
Maintenance heavy, requires service checks after use [ drive system].
